Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team, to help service members of the Puna District (Keaau, Pahoa, Mountain View, Volcano). In this vital role, you will provide high-quality patient care, assist with daily activities, and support the overall well-being of our residents or clients. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a safe, comfortable, and nurturing environment for those in your care. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring assistance with their health and personal needs. Responsibilities Observe and monitor patients' conditions regularly, noting any changes or concerns to ensure prompt response and appropriate care. Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support. Administer medications and perform basic medical procedures such as vital signs monitoring, catheter care, and wound care under supervision. Maintain accurate medical documentation using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Support patients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease through specialized memory care techniques and compassionate engagement. Assist with patient transfers utilizing proper methods such as Hoyer lifts or transfer belts to ensure safety for both patient and caregiver. Provide emotional support and effective communication to patients and their families, fostering trust and reassurance during their care journey.
