Job Description

Amana Family Practice is looking for staff to work from 8 am-5 pm, 4-5 days per week with occasional Saturday morning and evening hours. Positions are available for LPN, CMA, or CNA. Though we appreciate previous experience in a medical office, especially family practice, we are happy to train you for this exciting job. Job duties include patient rooming, scheduling, phlebotomy, front office support, provider support, and phone triage. Part-time work is available but may not include health benefits. Salary and benefits are competitive including health insurance, short- and long-term disability, paid time off, holiday pay and retirement account with employer provided match. Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, vital signs measurement, and medical history documentation using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and ensure all necessary supplies are available for procedures such as X-ray, phlebotomy, and medication administration. Support clinical procedures including basic life support (BLS), pharmacology management, ICD coding, and anatomy/physiology assessments. Manage medical records accurately by documenting patient encounters, updating electronic health records (EHR/EMR), and ensuring compliance with medical documentation standards. Assist with laboratory tasks such as specimen collection for blood draws or other tests. Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions, coordinating appointments, and facilitating smooth patient flow through the clinic. Qualifications Proven experience in medical office management or clinical assisting within outpatient or inpatient environments. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, ICD coding, and medical-surgical procedures. Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems; familiarity with electronic health records management is essential. Ability to perform phlebotomy and basic laboratory procedures confidently. Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications in emergency medicine or advanced clinical skills are advantageous.
