a { text-decoration: none; color: #464feb;}tr th, tr td { border: 1px solid #e6e6e6;}tr th { background-color: #f5f5f5;} Grand View University is seeking a part-time Nursing Lab Assistant to support the Nursing Education Department's Center for Learning. This position provides hands-on operational support for nursing skills labs, including preparing laboratory spaces, maintaining supplies and equipment that will support students' skill development, training, and assisting faculty and the Simulation Educator. This is an academic-year, part-time position averaging approximately 20 hours per week. Work hours will vary based on course schedules, lab activities, and department needs and will generally be scheduled between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. The position follows the academic calendar and includes work surrounding the start of each semester through finals week. Essential Responsibilities Clinical Lab Preparation and Support Prepare and reset clinical lab spaces for Foundations and Assessment courses, including set-up and tear-down of equipment, supplies, and learning materials. Help ensure lab spaces are organized, stocked, clean, and ready for scheduled student learning activities. Provide open-lab opportunities and support for students referred to the Center for Learning for skills practice or remediation. Assist the Simulation Educator with lab and simulation activities as needed. Center for Learning Operations Support the day-to-day organization and readiness of the Center for Learning during scheduled work hours. Maintain inventory and catalog new supplies, purchases, and equipment. Prepare and coordinate supply tote orders for Foundations courses. Research, source, and order clinical lab supplies and equipment. Assist with equipment evaluation, purchasing, routine maintenance, repair coordination, and replacement needs. Research equipment options in response to faculty and departmental lab needs. Maintain appropriate supplies of gowns, bedding, towels, and other reusable materials and coordinate laundry exchanges. Administrative and Department Support Assist the Department Chair with monitoring and managing the Center for Learning budget. Maintain accurate records related to supplies, equipment, purchasing, and inventory. Participate in Nursing Education Department meetings as appropriate. Provide tours and hands-on experiences for prospective students, visitors, and other groups. Perform other Center for Learning and clinical lab support duties as needed. Schedule Part-time, approximately 20 hours per week Hours will vary based on the Nursing Education Department's course, lab, and student-support needs Work will generally occur between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Some weeks or days may require different hours based on scheduled clinical labs, student remediation, special events, or department priorities Position follows the academic calendar, with work beginning around back-to-school activities and continuing through finals week each semester a { text-decoration: none; color: #464feb;}tr th, tr td { border: 1px solid #e6e6e6;}tr th { background-color: #f5f5f5;} Mininimum Job Requirements Medical certification in CNA, CMA, EMT, RT, or related field Associates degree
