RN Team Lead - Pediatric Rehab (Full-Time) ChildServe - 4.1 Johnston, IA Job Details Full-time 2 hours ago Benefits 403(b) matching Health savings account Disability insurance Health insurance Dental insurance Flexible spending account Paid time off Employee assistance program Vision insurance 403(b) Qualifications RN License BLS Certification English Full Job Description The RN Team Lead will guide a multidisciplinary team to deliver expert clinical care for children and teens in ChildServe's Pediatric Inpatient Rehabilitation Medicine program, the only comprehensive pediatric rehab program of its kind in Iowa. This role ensures individualized care needs are met while fostering staff engagement and effective teamwork. Schedule Monday - Friday Open to evening or overnight shifts What You'll Do Business Responsibilities Ensure environment is maintained according to regulatory requirements. Consistently demonstrate good stewardship of ChildServe equipment, supplies, and environment. Clinical Responsibilities Within the nursing/respiratory therapy scope of practice and physician's orders, ensure the implementation of each child's care plan and achieves the goals set forth in that care plan. Supervision Ensure newly hired staff are equipped to provide care. Ensure assigned staff are engaged in their work and that they are appropriately developed. Effectively manage staff performance. Role model great care and coaches and mentors colleagues to improved performance. Documentation Ensure staff document accurately, completely, and timely as defined by nursing/respiratory therapy standards or practice and ChildServe policies and procedures and provides feedback to supervisor on how the documentation system can be improved. What You'll Need Current valid license as a RN in Iowa.
Preferred:
2 years of nursing experience in pediatrics, rehabilitation and/or with children with complex medical conditions.
Preferred:
Specialty nursing certifications (CPN, CBIS, CRRN). Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Red Cross or American Heart Association within 90 days and before working independently. Ability to communicate effectively in reading, writing, and speaking the English language. Ability to lift up to 35 lbs, be mobile within the assigned work area, and frequently bend, lift, reach, and stand.
