Job Description
JOB SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities:- High school graduate or GED preferred.
- Completion of the Certified Nursing Assistant program OR be listed as having passed CNA competency testing on the Iowa Direct Care Worker registry. May be certified as a medic or Combat Lifesaver (through military duty) or have EMS certification as a base provider.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Code BLS required. New employees certify within three (3) months after hire date.
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
- High degree of empathetic listening, tact and kindness toward others.
- Effective verbal and nonverbal communication skills required.
- Must work effectively as a member of a team.
- Previous acute or long-term care experience preferred.
- Technical and critical thinking skills required to perform duties.
- Basic computer knowledge.
