Duties Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to ensure comfort and dignity. Take and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates with precision and adherence to protocols. Support medical procedures by preparing patients, maintaining aseptic techniques, and assisting with specimen collection like phlebotomy when qualified. Document patient information accurately using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems while maintaining strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Monitor patient conditions closely, report changes promptly to nursing staff, and assist with emergency response procedures including CPR and safe lifting practices like Hoyer lift usage. Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers to ensure clear understanding of care plans and needs. Assist with transfers using patient transfer methods such as gait belts or wheelchairs, ensuring safety at all times. Experience Proven experience working as a CNA or in a similar caregiving role within long-term care facilities, hospitals, or community health settings. Familiarity with medical terminology, vital signs measurement, and basic life support (BLS) certification required; CPR certification preferred. Experience working with diverse populations including geriatric patients, individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia or Alzheimer's disease, behavioral health needs, and pediatric patients. Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation and record management. Hands-on experience with patient transfer methods including Hoyer lifts and safe manual handling practices in accordance with OSHA standards. Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments such as ICU, emergency medicine, trauma centers (Level I & II), or post-acute care settings requiring acute care experience. Strong communication skills for caregiving interactions and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams committed to delivering exceptional patient service.
