About the Role Happy to Help Caregiving is looking for a highly experienced caregiver to join our team serving the Idaho Falls area and surrounding communities . This position will primarily support a high-needs client requiring memory care , so we are specifically seeking someone with demonstrated experience caring for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, cognitive impairment, or similar memory-related conditions. As an in-home caregiver, you will provide meaningful one-on-one support that helps the client remain safe, comfortable, and supported in their own home. This role requires someone who is patient, dependable, observant, and confident providing a higher level of individualized support. This is relationship-driven, hands-on work that requires consistency and sound judgment. The right caregiver will be able to provide calm reassurance, redirection, safety monitoring, and assistance with daily routines while following an established care plan and maintaining a person-centered approach. Applicants should have significant relevant caregiving and memory-care experience , communicate professionally, and be comfortable working independently with a client who requires a higher level of support. Client-specific training will be provided. What You'll Do Depending on the client's individualized care plan, responsibilities may include: Providing specialized support for a client experiencing memory loss or cognitive impairment Providing calm redirection, reassurance, and consistent support Monitoring the client's safety and surroundings Assisting with activities of daily living and established daily routines Providing companionship, conversation, and emotional support Assisting with personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and hygiene support Preparing meals and snacks according to client preferences and dietary needs Assisting with feeding support when needed Performing light housekeeping tasks including laundry, dishes, tidying, trash removal, and maintaining a safe living environment Providing medication reminders according to the care plan (no medication administration) Assisting with mobility, repositioning, walking assistance, and safe transfers using mobility aids when needed Providing transportation assistance for appointments, errands, grocery shopping, or approved outings throughout the Idaho Falls area Following the established care plan carefully and consistently Observing and promptly reporting changes in the client's condition, behavior, or needs to the office team Documenting care activities accurately Supporting the client's routines, independence, dignity, and personal preferences with professionalism and respect Caregivers are expected to arrive on time, communicate professionally, maintain respectful boundaries, and provide dependable, consistent care. Qualifications Due to the needs of this particular client, significant previous caregiving and memory-care experience is required .
