Job Overview:
Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, the Nurse Aide II performs a variety of basic patient care activities and related procedures in caring for the needs of the patients. He/She assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment.
Qualifications:
Required:
High School Diploma BLS Certification through American Heart Association only. Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal and demonstrated writing skills. Proven track record of compassionate care & superior service and a commitment to providing healthcare excellence…always.
Preferred:
At least one (1) year experience as a phlebotomist or EKG Technician with health care background. Current enrollment in health care training program as C.N.A. or PCT preferred College degree preferred.

American Heart Association Scheduling Requirements:
Days 7:00AM - 3:00PM Every other weekend, schedule during the week will vary depending on department needs Full-Time (37.5 hrs)
Mandatory Orientation Essential Functions:
Takes and records temperature, pulse, respiration, B/P, height/weight and intake/output measurements accurately. Reports findings outside of normal range to RN Provides assistance with ADL's to assigned patients Provides assistance with the nutritional needs of patients, including feeding, mealtime assistance/set-up, supplying fluids, and delivering supplemental snacks Lifts, moves, turns, and transports patients out of bed, chair, stretcher, wheelchair, portable mechanical lift, etc., maintaining proper body mechanics Performs laboratory procedures as noted: venipuncture, EKG, GTT, blood culture, urine collection procedures and other laboratory procedures as directed by the Registered Nurse Demonstrates the 4'
