As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in various settings, including assisted living facilities, hospitals, and hospice care. Your primary focus will be on supporting patients with their daily activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. This position requires a strong understanding of patient care practices and the ability to work effectively with individuals of all ages, including those with developmental disabilities. Duties Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating. Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure. Provide support in emergency medicine situations as needed. Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of care provided. Collaborate with nursing staff to develop and implement individualized care plans. Offer companionship and emotional support to patients and their families. Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients by following infection control protocols. Assist in transporting patients within the facility as required. Engage with geriatric patients to promote their physical and emotional health. Requirements Certification as a Nursing Assistant or equivalent training is preferred. Experience in assisted living, hospital settings, or hospice care is highly desirable. Knowledge of anatomy and vital signs monitoring techniques. Familiarity with medication administration procedures. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare team members. Ability to work compassionately with individuals who have developmental disabilities.
