Caregiver/CNA Job Summary:

Memory Care Assistant's (caregiver/CNA) are a fundamental part of San Gabriel's success in providing excellent care to its Memory Care Residents. As a memory care assistant, you will have the opportunity to get to know our Residents on a personal basis and provide loving and nurturing care to them:

• With your help as a memory care assistant, Residents will remain as independent as possible in their daily lives. Residents will often continue to require assistance completing some of their day-to-day tasks, such as eating, bathing, and doing chores.
• You will help to oversee and assist Residents in fun activities!
• Residents may need your assistance getting around within the facility.
• You will serve as a liaison between the Resident, other caregivers and providers, and family members to help ensure strong communication, which leads to excellent care!
• You may need to respond to medical or safety issues as they arise.

This position is a great opportunity to build professional skills such as customer/patient service, time management, communication, problem solving, organization, and independence! Qualifications:

• Previous experience is not required; on the job training available to learn about your position, our residents, memory care, and healthcare industry information helpful to perform your job well!
• CNAs, CMAs, and RMAs are also encouraged to apply!
• Most importantly, we are looking for someone who demonstrates compassion, understanding, patience, accommodation, and a willingness to listen and help.
• Great communication and collaboration skills are very necessary in order to best serve Residents and coordinate care amongst members of the whole care team.
• You must be able to reliably commute to and from work.
