WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a hospice aide, you will provide compassionate, hands-on care that helps patients remain comfortable and maintain dignity throughout their end-of-life journey.

You will:

Assist with personal care, mobility and activities of daily living Support nutrition, including simple meal preparation and feeding Provide light homemaking support related to the patient's care Help patients maintain independence and participate in activities meaningful to them Observe and report changes in a patient's condition to the registered nurse Working alongside your team, you will give your best each day in service of our core commitment: Delivering compassionate, personalized care with heartfelt empathy, honoring the wishes of each patient who entrusts VITAS with their end-of-life journey.

WHERE YOU'LL WORK

You will spend most of your time caring for hospice patients wherever they call home, whether that means a private residence or an assisted living/skilled nursing facility. You will travel within your assigned service area and provide care under the supervision of a registered nurse as part of an interdisciplinary hospice team.
