Job Description
CNA / Homemaking Support - Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and experienced CNA/Homemaking Support Caregiver to provide personal care, mobility assistance, homemaking services, and companionship to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate should be comfortable assisting clients with activities of daily living and have experience safely using Hoyer lifts and sit-to-stand lifts. Key Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene. Provide incontinence care and diaper changes while maintaining dignity, privacy, and cleanliness. Safely assist with transfers and mobility using Hoyer lifts, sit-to-stand lifts, and other mobility equipment. Assist clients with positioning, ambulation, and fall-prevention measures as appropriate. Provide assistance with eating, meal preparation, and other basic daily needs. Perform light housekeeping, laundry, changing linens, and maintaining a safe and clean home environment. Assist with grocery shopping, errands, and other essential household tasks. Provide companionship and meaningful social interaction. Observe and report changes in the client's condition, behavior, or needs to the appropriate supervisor. Follow the client's care plan and all agency policies and procedures. Maintain professional boundaries and respect the client's privacy, dignity, independence, and personal choices. Provide reliable and compassionate care while promoting the client's safety and quality of life. Qualifications & Experience CNA certification preferred/required as applicable to the assigned position. Minimum 1 year Previous experience providing home care, personal care, homemaking, or direct-care services preferred. Experience using Hoyer lifts and sit-to-stand equipment strongly preferred. Experience with toileting, incontinence care, transfers, and mobility assistance. Reliable, compassionate, patient, and respectful. Ability to follow care instructions and communicate effectively with clients and supervisors. Ability to perform required physical duties safely. Must successfully complete required background checks and agency onboarding requirements.
