Job Description

Harrison County Hospital is seeking a Physician Office Team Lead for the HCH Gynecology practice. This position is full-time, days, Monday through Thursday, 7a-5:30p, 40 hours per week. Under the supervision of the Practice Manager, the Physician Practice Team Lead is a working leader responsible for supporting the daily clinical and non-clinical operations of the HCH Gynecology, an off-site physician practice of Harrison County Hospital. This position must learn and maintain working knowledge of all aspects of the practice, including clinical back-office functions, front-office and registration functions, scheduling, referrals, patient flow, staff support, customer service, supplies, and routine administrative processes. The Team Lead provides hands-on support in both clinical and non-clinical areas, promotes efficient and compliant operations, and serves as the on-site leader responsible for all clinic staff whenever the Practice Manager is not present. The Team Lead communicates significant staffing, patient care, safety, operational, or performance concerns to the Practice Manager or Physician Practice Director and supports the mission and goals of Harrison County Hospital.

Education/Skills:

Previous relevant acute care experience required. Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred. Current applicable licensure/certification required. SKILLS Computer operational skills. Time management skills. Self-motivated and self-directed. Multi-task capability. Excellent communication skills. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Tact and diplomacy in dealing with others. Ability to lead and support a team environment.

•Must have the ability to handle stress. Work as many hours as needed to meet the demands of the job.

AGE SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES

Demonstrates knowledge, skills and behaviors appropriate to the populations served by the HCH Gynecology Clinic (adolescent, adult, and geriatric). Exhibits communication skills necessary to interpret age specific responses to situations/treatments encountered in the outpatient setting. Demonstrates ability to interpret/provide age specific treatments. Must be able to effectively communicate with all age groups served in the clinic. Demonstrates ability to involve family and/or significant others in discharge plan of care.
