Position Summary:
Support nursing staff with daily patient care and assigned nursing programs. Provide direct assistance with patients' physical, emotional, and daily living needs under licensed nursing supervision. Promote a safe, respectful, and therapeutic environment for patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist patients with bathing, feeding, vital signs, height/weight measurements, and other activities of daily living. Maintain required CPR and Bridge Building certifications. Use approved de-escalation, redirection, and behavioral-support techniques to manage challenging situations. Escort patients to therapy, meals, treatment areas, activities, and other programs. Recognize psychiatric emergencies and respond according to established procedures. Assist with active treatment programs and follow individualized treatment plans. Accurately document patient observations, care, and relevant information in electronic medical records. Apply restraint and seclusion procedures safely and only as authorized by hospital policy. Perform assigned housekeeping and light cleaning duties. Safely use thermometers, stethoscopes, blood-pressure equipment, and other basic medical equipment.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required. Basic computer skills required. Must obtain and maintain CPR and Bridge Building certifications. About our
