This is an ongoing recruiting opportunity to expand our Northern Indiana caregiver network. Patient assignments, schedules, and available hours vary based on patient needs and location. Elite offers Home Health Aide training for qualified candidates interested in beginning a career in home healthcare. Eligible candidates must successfully complete applicable training, competency evaluation, registry, background, and employment requirements before independently providing patient care. We'd like to hear from: Current Home Health Aides (HHAs) Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) Experienced caregivers and home care professionals Direct-care professionals interested in home health Individuals interested in training to become an HHA Candidates interested in starting a healthcare career What You'll Do As an HHA or CNA with Elite Home Healthcare, you'll provide individualized care and support to patients in their homes according to each patient's Plan of Care and under appropriate clinical direction and supervision.
Responsibilities may include:
Assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene Providing personal care and assistance with mobility, transfers, and positioning Performing assigned care tasks within your demonstrated competency and authorized responsibilities Providing household services essential to patient health and safety Assisting with medications that are ordinarily self-administered when permitted by applicable requirements, the Plan of Care, and Elite policy Observing and promptly reporting changes in patient condition or needs Following the patient's individualized Plan of Care Accurately documenting care, services, and relevant observations Following infection-control and patient-safety procedures Maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality Communicating effectively with patients, families, nurses, supervisors, and the care team Completing required training and continuing education

Qualifications Candidates must: Be at least 18 years of age Meet applicable Indiana requirements for the position and services being provided Maintain required certification and/or registry status, as applicable Complete required training and competency evaluations Demonstrate competency for assigned patient-care tasks Be able to read, understand, and follow a written Plan of Care Have strong communication and interpersonal skills Be dependable and committed to accepted patient schedules Complete applicable Elite employment, screening, and compliance requirements before providing patient care Already a CNA? Work Environment & Physical Requirements Care is primarily provided in patients' homes. Employees may encounter communicable diseases, bloodborne pathogens, and other potentially infectious materials and must follow applicable infection-control and safety procedures. The position requires the ability to perform assigned patient-care responsibilities, including occasional lifting, pushing, or pulling of up to 50 pounds and safely assisting patients according to their Plan of Care.
