In this vital role, you will provide direct patient care across a variety of settings, including long-term care facilities, hospitals, outpatient clinics, and home care environments. Duties Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility to promote independence and well-being Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates with precision and attention to detail Support medical staff by preparing patients for procedures, assisting with medical documentation, and maintaining accurate electronic health records (EHR/Epic systems) Implement infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and prevent the spread of infectious diseases Use patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts safely to prevent injury to patients and staff during mobility assistance Provide specialized care for patients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care techniques and behavioral management strategies Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient service and compassionate caregiving Experience Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with active state licensure or registration Experience working in long-term care facilities or nursing homes is highly preferred Prior experience in hospital settings such as ICU (Intensive Care Unit), emergency medicine, or trauma centers is advantageous Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and basic life support (BLS/CPR) procedures Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safe lifting practices and manual handling protocols Experience caring for geriatric patients or individuals with disabilities in home or community care environments is desirable Join us in delivering exceptional patient-centered care!
