Description:
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Home Health Aide (HHA) VNA of NWI Hospice Inpatient Hospice Center Part-time Evenings 3:00pm-11:30pm (rotating Monday, Tuesday and every other Saturday, Sunday) Make a Difference Every Day We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and Home Health Aides (HHAs) to join our team at our intimate 6-bed inpatient hospice center . This is a unique opportunity to provide personalized, hands-on care and emotional support to patients and families during one of life's most important journeys. Our hospice team is committed to delivering comfort, dignity, and exceptional care in a peaceful, home-like environment. Responsibilities Provide personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility assistance. Assist patients with activities of daily living while promoting comfort and dignity. Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team. Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable patient environment. Provide compassionate emotional support to patients and their loved ones. Collaborate with nurses, social workers, chaplains, and other interdisciplinary team members. Document care provided according to agency policies and regulations.
Requirements:
Qualifications Current Indiana CNA certification or HHA certification. Previous hospice, long-term care, hospital, or home health experience preferred. Current CPR certification preferred. Ability to demonstrate empathy, professionalism, and strong communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
