Duties Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using patient transfer methods and equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor and document vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature, ensuring accurate medical records in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems Support medication administration following home healthcare regulations and protocols while maintaining strict patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA standards Provide specialized care for patients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care techniques and behavioral management strategies Assist with catheter care, wound care, and other medical procedures as directed by healthcare professionals Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and ensuring a safe living environment for clients Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams to coordinate care plans and update medical documentation regularly Qualifications Valid certification as a CNA or HHA with current licensing in the applicable state Proven experience working with geriatric patients, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those requiring hospice or end-of-life care Strong knowledge of medical terminology, patient care techniques, and home health care regulations Experience operating EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation of patient information Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and use patient transfer devices such as Hoyer lifts or gait belts Certification in First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS), including CPR training Familiarity with medication administration procedures and vital signs monitoring Excellent communication skills to provide compassionate client care and maintain confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home healthcare agencies is highly desirable Join our team to deliver compassionate caregiving that enhances independence and well-being!
