Commensurate with experience Job Description Staffing Strategies is recruiting an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a PACU / Pre-Op & Post-Op Team Lead opportunity with an ambulatory surgery center in the Westfield/Carmel area. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced PACU, recovery room, or perioperative RN who enjoys providing hands-on patient care while also taking on additional leadership responsibilities within a growing surgical team. The Team Lead will work closely with clinical leadership and staff to help support the day-to-day operations of the pre-operative and post-anesthesia care areas while maintaining a strong focus on patient safety, quality care, teamwork, and efficient patient flow.

Responsibilities include:

Provide and oversee high-quality pre-operative and post-anesthesia nursing care Support the daily workflow of the Pre-Op/PACU department Serve as a clinical resource and point of support for nursing staff Assist with staff coordination, assignments, and department organization Help maintain efficient patient flow throughout the surgical day Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, nursing staff, and leadership Promote compliance with clinical policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements Assist with onboarding, training, and mentoring clinical staff Identify opportunities to improve clinical processes and patient care Remain actively involved in direct patient care as needed

Qualifications:

Active Indiana RN license or Compact RN license Previous PACU, Pre-Op/Post-Op, recovery room, critical care, or comparable perioperative nursing experience PACU and/or ambulatory surgery center experience strongly preferred Previous charge nurse, Team Lead, supervisory, or other clinical leadership experience preferred Current BLS required ACLS required or ability to obtain PALS preferred Strong communication, organization, and clinical decision-making skills Ability to effectively support and lead a collaborative clinical team Why Consider This Opportunity?
