You will work closely with registered nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient-centered services. Duties Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and well-being Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems Support patient transfer methods utilizing equipment like Hoyer lifts and ensure safe manual handling practices at all times Provide compassionate care for individuals with complex conditions such as Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or developmental disabilities Administer medications under supervision in accordance with medical orders while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards Assist in medical procedures including phlebotomy (blood draws), catheter care, and basic life support techniques like CPR when necessary Document all patient interactions thoroughly in electronic health records (EHR/Epic/eClinicalWorks) ensuring accuracy for medical documentation and legal compliance Qualifications Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) recognized by state licensing boards Experience working with geriatric patients in long-term care facilities or nursing homes is highly preferred Demonstrated proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner; familiarity with medical terminology is essential Knowledge of aseptic techniques, infection control practices, and safe lifting procedures including the use of Hoyer lifts Critical care experience or ICU background is advantageous for supporting acutely ill patients in hospital settings Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams and provide excellent patient service Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physically demanding tasks required for patient transfer and mobility assistance Join us in delivering exceptional patient care through your enthusiasm, expertise, and commitment!
