Job Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), where your compassionate care and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference in patients' lives. In this vital role, you will provide essential support to nursing staff and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in an assisted living community. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills while contributing to the well-being of our community. Duties Assist patients with daily activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility to promote independence and comfort. Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates; accurately document findings using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner. Support medical procedures including catheter care, wound care, and basic medication administration under supervision. Help with patient transfers Observe and report changes in patient condition promptly to nursing staff. Maintain a clean and safe environment by following infection control protocols for infectious disease care and dementia or memory care residents. Assist with medical documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams in outpatient clinics, inpatient units, or home & community care settings to deliver seamless patient service. Support patients with behavioral health needs or developmental disabilities by providing compassionate caregiving tailored to individual requirements. Use EMR systems efficiently for accurate record keeping and communication among healthcare providers. Experience Prior experience working in geriatrics is highly valued. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems enhances your ability to deliver efficient patient care. Knowledge of physiology and anatomy supports accurate vital sign assessment and patient monitoring. Hands-on experience with caregiving is advantageous. Background working with diverse populations—including children, seniors, individuals with disabilities or dementia—demonstrates your adaptability and compassionate approach. Familiarity with medical documentation standards and HIPAA compliance ensures confidentiality and professionalism in all aspects of patient service.
