Job Description

Manhattan Medical Group includes a family of medical professionals who strive to provide comprehensive patient care in the form of family medicine, wound care, behavioral health, women's health, and chronic disease management and neurology. We emphasize the importance of patient safety, a high-quality standard of care, a welcoming clinical environment, staff teamwork & communication, and engagement with the community we serve. We offer flexible schedule and would be perfect for medical students' schedule, Monday, Wednesday, Friday days. That includes pre-med, PA and nursing students. The Medical Assistant is responsible for: Preparing exam rooms for patient appointments. Rooming patients upon arrival. Measuring and recording height, weight and vital signs. Reviewing and updating current medication information. Documenting patient history and review of symptoms. Performing assist with NCV/EMG testing Performing memory test as directed by provider Assisting provider with minor procedures/treatments. Coordinating and booking appointments for follow up care. Arranging for prior authorizations with insurance payers. The ideal candidate will bring the following skills and experience: A service oriented, teamwork mindset. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, short correspondence and memos. Exceptional time management skills with a demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks. Familiarity and proficiency with electronic medical record systems. Familiarity and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Teams. A current BLS/CPR certification for Health Care Providers is required. A current, unencumbered State of Kansas or National Certified or Registered Medical Assistant credential is preferred. 1+ year experience working as a Medical Assistant in an outpatient setting is preferred.
