Alpine Healthcare Staffing is looking to grow our Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) team, and is in need of per diem and contract CNA's both in LTC and Acute Care Hospital setting. Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility using safe handling techniques like Hoyer lifts and manual transfer methods. Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates, maintaining detailed medical documentation within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Support patient care plans by administering medications under supervision, managing catheter care, and assisting with wound care procedures following aseptic techniques. Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure patient safety during transfers, ambulation, and while using equipment like Hoyer lifts or bed rails. Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations while handling sensitive medical records and documentation. Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease in memory or assisted living facilities, ensuring their comfort and safety. Respond promptly to emergency situations in various settings such as ICU, emergency medicine units, or hospice care environments; perform basic life support (BLS) when needed. Qualifications Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) from an accredited program. Experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, or individuals with disabilities. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and infection control practices. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate documentation. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and adhere to safe lifting practices during patient transfers or manual handling tasks. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams and caregivers. Prior experience in long-term care facilities, hospital medicine units (including ICU or Level I Trauma Centers), or post-acute settings is highly desirable.
