The Assistive Personnel (CNA or PCT) provides basic healthcare and support to patients in a manner that would lead to high levels of patient satisfaction. Other functions of the position may include monitor technician, activities of daily living and basic nursing procedures. The PCT functions as a member of the patient's interdisciplinary team.

Knowledge and Skills:
Participates in routine activities of patient care for the specific unit/department population. Performs delegated care tasks in a timely, efficient manner and under the guidance of the RN/LPN. Contributes to continuity of care and effective communication by reporting care provided and changes in the patient's condition to the primary nurse or designee in a timely fashion. Licensure, registration, or certification: Active Certification as a Nurse Assistant OR Certification as a P BLS Certification
