Duties Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote comfort and independence Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation in compliance with HIPAA and safety standards Utilize patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques to ensure safe movement of patients Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care strategies and behavioral support Maintain strict infection control practices using aseptic techniques during procedures like catheter care and wound management Collaborate effectively with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient service across medical-surgical, ICU, emergency medicine, or hospice settings Skills Proven experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, or individuals with disabilities Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (CPR) procedures Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safe lifting practices and manual handling protocols Strong caregiver communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams Experience in specialized care areas such as critical care (ICU), trauma centers (Level I & II), post-acute care, or sub-acute environments is highly valued Competence in infection control standards and aseptic techniques essential for maintaining patient confidentiality and safety under HIPAA regulations Join us in delivering compassionate care that transforms lives!
