Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide essential support and care to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of various caregiving techniques and be committed to enhancing the quality of life for our clients. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, monitoring health conditions, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment.

Sunday thru Saturday 10am-5pm (45 hours per week)

Significant hand-eye coordination challenges Bedridden, though she is up during the day Non-verbal but fully aware and able to understand what is happening around her Lives with her daughter and son-in-law Lives in clean home, with no smoking, pets, or infestations reported Caregivers may occasionally be asked to assist with errands or travel-related needs Ideal caregiver The best match will be a compassionate, attentive, verbal caregiver who is naturally nurturing and comfortable providing individualized, interactive care. Non-smoker Experienced with total-care, non-verbal adults and hands-on personal care Comfortable with puree-food meal preparation and feeding assistance Able to maintain good eye contact and communicate directly with client, even though she cannot respond verbally Engaging and conversational; willing to read aloud, talk with client, and provide companionship Familiar with or open to using five-senses therapy and other meaningful engagement activities Dependable, observant, patient, and emotionally present Flexible for occasional evening needs and possible schedule changes Comfortable working as part of a family-centered household Care needs and expectations This is a full hands-on and full attention care assignment. Client's condition can appear similar to a coma because she cannot verbally communicate, but she is alert and aware. Her caregivers must treat her with dignity, include her in conversation, explain care as it is provided, and remain attentive to her non-verbal cues.

Primary responsibilities include:

Providing three meals daily, including preparing and assisting with puree foods Full assistance with personal hygiene, grooming, and oral care Total hands-on support with daily living needs Maintaining a safe, clean, comfortable environment Providing companionship through conversation, reading, television, and attentive interaction Supporting five-senses therapy Monitoring for comfort, needs, changes in condition, and non-verbal signs of distress or preference Occasional help with errands or travel needs Availability for some evening coverage when needed
