Impact Talent Solutions (ITS) is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) specializing in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) for an exciting travel opportunity in Covington, Louisiana . This is an outstanding opportunity for a highly skilled RNFA with cardiac surgery experience to join a respected surgical team and assist with complex cardiovascular procedures. Minimum Qualifications Current RN License Current RNFA Certification BLS Certification (American Heart Association) ACLS Certification (American Heart Association) Registered Nurse Diploma required Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred Experience Required Minimum 5 years of Operating Room experience OR Minimum 3 years of Cardiac Operating Room (CVOR) experience Proficiency in Endoscopic Vein Harvesting (EVH) and Radial Artery Harvesting Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures

Experience using Terumo equipment CNOR Certification Responsibilities Serve as the Registered Nurse First Assistant during cardiovascular surgical procedures. Assist surgeons before, during, and after complex cardiac operations. Perform endoscopic and radial artery vein harvesting. Deliver exceptional direct and indirect patient care throughout the perioperative process. Prepare patients for surgery and ensure a safe operative environment. Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and nursing staff. Communicate effectively regarding patient needs and procedural requirements. Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all regulatory and hospital policies. Promote patient safety while providing compassionate, high-quality care. Skills & Qualifications Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures and sterile technique. Excellent critical thinking and clinical judgment. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Proficiency with electronic documentation systems and Microsoft Windows applications. Ability to adapt in a fast-paced surgical environment. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods during surgical procedures. Ability to lift, move, and position patients using appropriate equipment and team lifting techniques. Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and perform repetitive movements as required in the operating room. Willingness to participate in on-call, weekend, holiday, and flexible scheduling as needed.
