Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team during overnight shifts. Responsibilities Assist residents and patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity. Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature; accurately document findings using electronic health record (EHR) systems. Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper handling and adherence to safety protocols. Observe and report changes in patient condition or behavior promptly to nursing staff for immediate action. Use patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices to ensure safe movement and prevent injury. Maintain strict adherence to infection control procedures, including aseptic techniques and proper hand hygiene practices. Document all patient interactions thoroughly in medical records while maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Requirements Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with current state licensure. Prior experience working with geriatric patients or in long-term care facilities is highly preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs measurement, and basic life support (BLS). Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia care is advantageous. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR/Epic/eClinicalWorks) systems for accurate documentation. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using proper manual handling techniques; physical stamina for long shifts.
