$44,405.00 - $60,182.54Duties and Responsibilities:
Leadership:
- Provide leadership within the CNA program, fostering a positive and collaborative learning environment.
- Mentor and guide students to ensure their academic success and professional development.
- Participate in faculty meetings, curriculum development, and program evaluation activities.
- Collaborate with other faculty members and departmental staff to enhance the overall student experience within the program.
Programmatic:
- Develop and deliver effective instructional strategies and course materials that align with program objectives and accreditation standards.
- Conduct lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on training sessions for CNA students.
- Assess student learning outcomes and provide timely feedback to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance evaluations.
Institutional Effectiveness:
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the CNA program through curriculum assessment and revision.
- Participate in accreditation processes and program reviews as required.
- Collaborate with program managers and administrators to meet institutional goals and objectives.
- Support the integration of technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance learning outcomes.
External Business Relations:
- Cultivate and maintain partnerships with healthcare facilities, community organizations, and industry stakeholders to enhance student placement and career opportunities.
- Collaborate with external partners to develop internship and job placement opportunities for CN A program graduates.
- Represent SoLAcc at community events, professional conferences, and industry meetings to promote the CNA program and establish beneficial relationships.
Minimum Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- Current certification as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Louisiana.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting, preferably as a CNA.
- Teaching experience in a post-secondary educational institution or healthcare training program preferred.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse, multicultural environment.
