Job Description

Bring your expertise as a Certified Nursing Assistant to support a kindergarten student with significant medical needs in a dynamic school setting. This full-time, contract opportunity spans 32.5 hours per week over approximately two and a half months, with the possibility for extension through the school year.
Schedule:
Full-time, 32.5 hours per week
Qualifications:
Active CNA certification required Experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant working with pediatric or school-aged children preferred Comfortable supporting students with physical disabilities, such as those requiring a wheelchair Demonstrated ability to respond to high-level medical needs Compassionate, patient-centered approach and strong communication skills Ability to work collaboratively with educators, school nurses, and support staff
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct care and ongoing assistance to a kindergarten student with high medical needs, including personal care, mobility support, and medication reminders Ensure proper use of medical equipment, including wheelchairs and any additional assistive devices Monitor and document daily health status and promptly communicate changes to school nursing staff and administration Assist with daily classroom routines and transitions, ensuring student participation and safety Collaborate proactively with teachers to foster an inclusive learning environment
