Purpose:
Schedule:
Provide classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction for the CNA and HHA programs. Teach curriculum and hands-on skills, evaluate student performance, support student success, and prepare students for certification while modeling WOW! Magic. Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30
PM Classroom:
Mon-Thu 8:30 AM-2:30 PM; Fri 8:30 AM-1:00 PM Clinical weeks: hours may vary. Flexible to travel between Andover and Chelsea.
Essential Functions:
Deliver classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction by teaching the CNA/HHA curriculum and demonstrating required skills in accordance with LARE Institute, American Training Inc., and applicable regulatory standards. Monitor and evaluate student performance by tracking attendance, maintaining compliance with Massachusetts Department of Public Health regulations, assessing skills competency in the lab and clinical settings, providing coaching and guidance, and identifying and reporting students at risk of non-compliance. Maintain accurate student records and documentation by preparing written progress reports, utilizing the student database, proctoring and grading examinations, and completing all required program documentation in a timely manner. Ensure compliance with clinical and program requirements by adhering to all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements of LARE Institute, American Training Inc., and affiliated clinical facilities while promoting a safe and supportive learning environment.
Educational/Experience and Other Requirements:
Current Massachusetts RN license. Approved by DPL Office of Proprietary Schools and Massachusetts DPH. Minimum two years of long-term care experience. Minimum one year of teaching experience. Ability to work with a diverse population. No lifting restrictions; able to stand and walk for extended periods.
