Step into a fulfilling role supporting the educational journey of a student by providing personalized, compassionate care as an Educational Aide. Based in Wilmington, MA, this contract position offers the opportunity to make a direct and lasting impact, working 1:1 with a K-12 student who uses a wheelchair. Youll be on-site for 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, ensuring consistency and stability for the student throughout the school day.
Qualifications:
Valid CNA (Certified Nurse Assistant) certification Previous experience as a paraprofessional or CNA in a school or pediatric setting preferred Demonstrated ability to assist students with mobility, transfers, and daily care needs Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills Commitment to maintaining student confidentiality and fostering an inclusive environment
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct support to one student throughout the school day, including assistance with mobility, equipment, and classroom participation Support with personal care, feeding, and hygiene as needed Collaborate with educators, therapists, and nursing staff to ensure continuity of care and individualized educational support Monitor student safety in all settings and help facilitate engagement in learning activities Promote independence and encourage the students social and emotional growth
