Category CNA- Certified Nursing Assistant Job Type Contract A fulfilling opportunity is available for a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to provide essential care in a school environment. This full-time contract position supports a kindergarten student with significant medical needs who uses a wheelchair. The assignment is for 32.5 hours per week, covering approximately two and a half months from September through November, with the possibility of extension through the full academic year.
Schedule:
Full-time, 32.5 hours per week School day hours, Monday through
Friday Key Responsibilities:
Deliver attentive, one-on-one care to a kindergarten student requiring a high level of medical support during the school day. Monitor and assist with mobility, hygiene, and other personal care needs. Support daily routines, classroom activities, and transitions, ensuring safety at all times. Communicate closely with school staff, healthcare professionals, and parents regarding the student's needs and progress. Maintain accurate records of care provided and promptly report changes in the student's condition.
Required Qualifications:
Active CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) license. Experience working with children or in an educational setting is highly desired. Knowledge of medical protocols and experience supporting individuals with high medical needs. Excellent communication and observational skills. Ability to provide compassionate, patient-focused care in a school setting.
