As needed Responsibilities Provide RN First Assistant coverage during outpatient surgical procedures, supporting the surgeon with exposure, retraction, suction, and hemostasis Maintain and manage the sterile field, assist with instrument counts, and aid in intraoperative wound closure as directed Prepare the patient and operative field, including positioning and draping, and assist with intraoperative care and safety Collaborate with the surgical team, observing for safety and quality, and coordinate with circulating staff and anesthesia as required Float to the main operating room as needed and participate in preoperative and postoperative handoffs and documentation to ensure continuity of care Requirements MA RN license required; conditional/temporary MA licensure acceptable
Certifications:
CNOR, ACLS, BLS
Experience:
Minimum 3+ years as an RN First Assistant; ambulatory surgery/ASC experience preferred
Vaccination:
COVID-19
