BLS LTAC or hospital experience preferred ASAP start 13 weeks" Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide essential patient care and support to individuals across various healthcare settings, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, and home care environments. . Responsibilities Support patients with medical procedures such as catheter care, wound dressing changes, and basic phlebotomy when trained. Ensure adherence to infection control protocols through proper aseptic techniques and safe manual handling practices. Document patient information precisely within electronic health records (EHR) systems while maintaining strict confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist with patient transfers using appropriate equipment such as Hoyer lifts or transfer boards to ensure safety. Qualifications Valid CNA certification from an accredited program; active license required. Prior experience working in medical-surgical units, long-term care facilities, or home health settings preferred. Demonstrated proficiency with electronic health records (EHR/Epic/eClinicalWorks) systems. Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and patient care standards across various specialties including geriatrics, pediatrics, ICU, emergency medicine, hospice, and trauma centers. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safe lifting practices. Strong communication skills for effective caregiver-patient interactions and teamwork. Familiarity with infection control protocols such as aseptic technique and universal precautions. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges is desirable. Basic life support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications like phlebotomy or medication administration are a plus. Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
