Job Description

Make a positive impact in a school community by supporting a student as a 1:1 Educational Aide. Located near Wilmington, MA, this contract position offers a chance to assist a K-12 student in a wheelchair, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and access to the curriculum. You'll contribute directly to the students daily success and personal growth within a supportive educational setting.
Qualifications and Experience:
Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification required Experience as a CNA Nurse or Paraprofessional in a school or pediatric environment preferred Compassionate, patient, and able to adapt to students individual needs Strong communication and teamwork abilities Familiarity with assistive mobility devices and hygiene support Ability to follow directions from teaching and support staff
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 assistance to a student throughout the school day Support with mobility, personal care, and classroom engagement Collaborate with teachers and therapists to implement student-specific plans Maintain accurate daily records of support provided Foster a safe and encouraging environment for the student Accompany and support the student during transitions and activities This full-time role spans 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, throughout the school year. With only one student on your caseload, you'll have the opportunity to develop a meaningful, consistent relationship and help them achieve their goals each day.
