Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide high-quality patient care across various healthcare settings. The ideal candidate will have experience in diverse clinical environments, including long-term care, hospitals, assisted living, and specialized units such as ICU, emergency medicine, or geriatrics. This role involves working closely with patients of all ages, including those with complex medical needs such as dementia, Alzheimer's, developmental disabilities, and behavioral health conditions. The CNA will play a vital role in supporting patient comfort, safety, and recovery through direct care and documentation. Duties Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices Monitor and record vital signs accurately using EMR/EHR systems and ensure proper medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations Administer medications and treatments as prescribed under supervision, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols Support patients with specialized needs such as catheter care, wound care, dementia care, memory care, and hospice care Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in settings such as ICU, trauma centers (Level I & II), pediatric units (PICU), post-acute care, outpatient clinics, and home & community care environments Recognize and respond promptly to patient emergencies utilizing basic life support skills and emergency protocols Maintain a safe environment by following infection control standards for infectious disease care and working within hospital or clinic policies Assist healthcare professionals during procedures in surgical or medical-surgical units and provide patient education when appropriate Support patients with behavioral health needs or disabilities by providing compassionate caregiving tailored to individual requirements Requirements Valid Certified Nursing Assistant certification required; experience in medical-surgical units or specialty areas such as geriatrics is highly desirable Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks preferred; familiarity with medical terminology and anatomy/physiology knowledge is advantageous Experience working with diverse patient populations including children (pediatrics), seniors (geriatrics), individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health conditions Ability to perform vital signs measurement accurately and demonstrate knowledge of infection control practices including aseptic technique Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and medical records management Experience with medication administration, catheter care, DME usage, and other clinical procedures preferred Excellent communication skills coupled with compassion for patient-centered care in inpatient, outpatient, home health, or community settings Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments such as trauma centers (Level I & II), urgent care clinics, hospice facilities, or teaching hospitals This position offers an opportunity to be part of a dedicated healthcare team committed to delivering exceptional patient care across multiple clinical environments.
