Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Student Nurse CNA - Weight Loss & Wellness Chesapeake Express IV Wellness & Aesthetics Annapolis, MD Part-Time 24 hours a week | Full-time 36 hours week New Graduates Welcome to Apply Chesapeake Express IV Wellness & Aesthetics is growing, and we are looking for a motivated, dependable, and personable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Student Nurse CNA to join our wellness and medical weight-loss team. This is a great opportunity for an LPN who enjoys patient interaction, wellness, preventative medicine, and working in a modern, fast-paced clinical environment. Previous weight-loss, wellness, or aesthetics experience is preferred but not required. We are happy to train the right candidate, including a newly licensed LPN. Responsibilities Assist with medical weight-loss appointments and follow-up visits Obtain and document vital signs, weights, measurements, and patient information Administer prescribed subcutaneous and intramuscular injections according to provider orders and clinic protocols Provide standardized patient education regarding medications, injection techniques, nutrition, hydration, and wellness Review medication lists and update patient charts Monitor patients for side effects or changes in condition and promptly report concerns to the RN or provider Perform blood draws and specimen collection when trained and competent Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation Assist with medication inventory, supplies, and medication logs Prepare treatment rooms and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment Communicate professionally with patients, providers, and other members of the CEIV team Assist with other wellness services within the LPN scope of practice and demonstrated competency Follow all HIPAA, infection-control, medication-safety, and CEIV policies and procedures Qualifications Current and unrestricted Maryland LPN license Graduate of an approved Practical Nursing program Current BLS/CPR certification Excellent communication and customer-service skills Strong attention to detail and medication safety Comfortable administering injections Dependable, punctual, organized, and able to work independently within the LPN scope of practice Comfortable working in a fast-paced outpatient environment Ability to recognize when a patient's condition or question requires escalation to the RN, NP, or other provider New graduate LPNs are encouraged to apply.
