Job Description

Brightview Senior Living is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant for our Memory Care neighborhood. In this role, you'll provide person-centered assistance with bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility while supporting residents living with dementia to feel safe, respected, and engaged. You'll partner closely with nurses and teammates, observe and report changes in condition, and assist with meals and daily activities. Responsibilities Provide hands-on assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care for memory care residents Support residents with safe mobility, transfers, and positioning using proper body mechanics and equipment Assist with meal setup, feeding as needed, and monitor intake to support nutrition and hydration Observe and report changes in residents' physical or cognitive status to nurses and supervisors promptly Use dementia-sensitive communication and redirection to support comfort, dignity, and reduced agitation Maintain accurate documentation of care, activities, and observations per community and regulatory standards Help keep resident rooms and common areas clean, organized, and safe Participate in life-enrichment and memory-support activities that encourage engagement and socialization Follow care plans, infection control, and safety protocols consistently Collaborate closely with nurses, care team members, residents, and families to support a resident-first experience Required Skills Personal care and ADL assistance Memory care and dementia support techniques Safe transfer and mobility assistance Infection control and standard precautions Vital signs measurement and basic health monitoring Care documentation and reporting Therapeutic and de-escalation communication Observation and change-of-condition reporting Meal assistance and safe feeding practices Team collaboration in senior living or long-term care
