Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality, personalized care to patients across various settings, including long-term care facilities, hospitals, and community-based programs. Responsibilities Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility using safe lifting practices and equipment like Hoyer lifts. Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates. Support patient transfer methods ensuring safety and comfort during movement between beds, chairs, or other areas. Maintain patient confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA regulations and ensuring secure handling of medical records and documentation within EMR/EHR systems. Provide compassionate care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, developmental disabilities, or those in hospice or memory care settings. Collaborate with nursing staff to administer medications as directed and assist with medical procedures such as catheter care or phlebotomy when trained. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient service and quality care delivery. Qualifications Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in good standing with relevant state licensing requirements. Experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals (including ICU, trauma centers), long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, or home health settings. Knowledge of medical terminology, aseptic techniques, basic life support (BLS), CPR, and infection control protocols. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks or similar platforms for accurate medical documentation. Prior experience in specialized areas such as geriatrics, dementia or memory care, hospice care, pediatric or neonatal units (PICU), or emergency medicine is highly desirable. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while managing heavy lifting requirements when necessary. Strong caregiver communication skills with a focus on patient-centered service and teamwork.
