Qualifications:

Responsibilities:
a. Aware of areas which make participants subject to abuse and prevent such abuse. b. Maintain open lines of communication among the nursing shifts, and departments, supervisors, and families. c. Aware of safety issues and strives to accomplish all responsibilities in a safe manner, consistently reinforces good safety attitudes and practices displayed by other staff members. d. Control, prepare, and administer treatments and medications with knowledge of purpose and adverse effects of the nursing care provided. e. Function as a knowledgeable and supportive committee member upon request by the Director of Nursing to maintain high levels of health care. f. Complete all documentation for assessments, observations, planning evaluation, orders by physicians and care provided to participants. g. Utilize professional assessment skills to identify physical, mental, and psychosocial needs of participants, patients and is able to develop a care plan to meet these needs in a multi-disciplinary approach. h. Maintain a positive environment. i. Function as a resource person and mentor to peers and subordinates to maintain professional nursing standards. j. Act on participants behalf to assure patient rights and is aware of and prevents participants' abuse. k. Maintain the refrigerator temperature log. l. Maintain the glucometer calibration log. m. Take Clients' Vital Signs as physician orders. n. Take glucose Finger stick POC as physician order. o. Perform direct patient care including rounding, toileting, feeding. p. Other duties as assigned.
