Support medication administration under supervision, adhering to strict aseptic techniques and HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy. Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care strategies and behavioral health support. Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, phlebotomy preparation, and wound care in accordance with clinical protocols. Support patients during transfers and mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts or transfer belts while ensuring safety at all times. Maintain accurate medical documentation and ensure compliance with healthcare standards across all patient interactions. Requirements Valid CNA certification from an accredited program with current licensure in the state of employment. Proven experience working with diverse populations including seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those requiring specialized memory or dementia care. Experience in various healthcare environments such as hospitals (including ICU or trauma centers), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or outpatient clinics. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and aseptic techniques essential for delivering safe patient care. Strong communication skills coupled with a compassionate attitude towards patients' needs and family members. Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks involving lifting or transferring patients safely using appropriate equipment.
