(C.N.A.) —
CORRECTIONAL HEALTHCARE PAY
$26.00 per hour, plus applicable shift differentials

Day, evening and night shifts available, including 12-hour weekend shifts

We are staffing multiple C.N.A. positions at Jessup across both the medical and mental health units: Day shift — approximately 10 positions (weekdays 8:00a-4:30p; 12-hour weekend shifts 8:00a-8:30p) Evening shift — approximately 4 positions (weekdays 4:00p-12:30a; 12-hour weekend shifts 8:00p-8:30a) Night shift — approximately 1 position (12:00a-8:30a)
SHIFT DIFFERENTIALS
(paid in addition to the base rate) Weekday evening: +$1.00/hr Weekday night: +$2.00/hr Weekend day: +$1.00/hr Weekend evening: +$2.00/hr Weekend night: +$3.00/hr

Pre-Service Training (24 hours) — $20.00/hr NEO Orientation Training (16 hours) — $20.00/hr

Correctional healthcare offers the opportunity to provide essential care to patients who may not have had consistent access to quality medical care. As a C.N.A. working with Bethel Health Services, you will provide hands-on patient care in a structured clinical environment while serving an underserved patient population. This is more than a nursing assistant assignment—it is an opportunity to provide consistent, compassionate care to patients who genuinely need your skills.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse, you will collaborate with healthcare and correctional staff to support safe and effective patient care.
Responsibilities include:
Providing direct patient care under the supervision of an RN or LPN Assisting patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting and mobility Taking and recording vital signs Assisting with patient transfers, positioning and ambulation Observing and promptly reporting changes in patient condition to licensed nursing staff Documenting care provided and observations accurately and completely Assisting licensed staff with treatments, procedures and intake screenings Supporting medical and mental health unit operations, including patient observation and rounds as assigned Maintaining a clean, safe and orderly patient care environment Maintaining patient confidentiality and treating every patient with dignity and respect Collaborating with healthcare and correctional staff to support patient care

QUALIFICATIONS
Current, unrestricted Maryland C.N.A. certification in good standing with the Maryland Board of Nursing Current CPR certification; American Heart Association certification preferred Completion of a state-approved nursing assistant training program Ability to successfully complete the required Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services background check and drug screening Willingness to travel and work on-site, with lodging provided for eligible travel assignments Comfort working in a correctional healthcare environment Professionalism, dependability and the ability to work effectively with healthcare and correctional staff
