Nursing Assistant Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The Nursing Assistant will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients in various settings, including clinics, memory care facilities. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Duties Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding. Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse Maintain patient hygiene and comfort while ensuring a safe environment. Document patient information accurately in electronic health records systems like Cerner. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement care plans tailored to individual patient needs. Assist in memory care activities for patients with cognitive impairments Skills Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of healthcare systems. Experience or familiarity with Cerner or similar electronic health record systems is preferred. Ability to take and interpret vital signs accurately. Knowledge of memory care practices and techniques for working with patients with dementia or related conditions. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members. Compassionate approach towards patient care with a focus on enhancing patient comfort and dignity.
