Monitor vital signs regularly and document findings accurately within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to ensure seamless medical documentation. Support medication administration under supervision, adhering strictly to HIPAA regulations and aseptic techniques to maintain patient confidentiality and safety. Provide specialized care for patients with memory impairments or behavioral health needs, including dementia and Alzheimer's care. Collaborate effectively with nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans in fast-paced environments such as ICU, emergency medicine, or trauma centers. Maintain safe lifting practices during manual handling tasks and assist with patient transfers using proper techniques to prevent injury. Engage in patient service activities that promote comfort and well-being while respecting individual dignity and cultural preferences. Requirements Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with current state licensure or registration. Prior experience working with geriatric patients in long-term care facilities or nursing homes is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (BLS/CPR). Experience working in diverse healthcare settings such as hospitals (including Level I Trauma Centers), outpatient clinics, or post-acute care environments is advantageous. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical records management. Strong caregiving skills with excellent communication abilities tailored to working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and adhere to infection control protocols including aseptic techniques. Knowledge of medication administration procedures and vital signs monitoring.
