Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods Monitor vital signs and observe patient conditions to report changes promptly to healthcare professionals Administer medications and assist with medication management following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal consumption, accommodating special dietary needs such as dementia or Alzheimer's care Support residents with cognitive challenges by implementing memory care techniques and engaging in personalized activities Maintain cleanliness of resident living areas through light cleaning duties to promote hygiene and comfort Document patient observations, update care plans, and communicate effectively with team members regarding resident progress and rights Requirements Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and basic first aid including CPR certification Familiarity with dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care strategies, hospice care, and neurodevelopmental disorders support is advantageous Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and patient transfers using appropriate equipment like Hoyer lifts Strong communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and healthcare teams while respecting residents' rights under HIPAA regulations Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays enhances your ability to provide personalized support Valid certifications in first aid and CPR are required; ongoing training in patient safety is encouraged Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays as needed in a dynamic caregiving environment Join us in delivering compassionate care that enriches lives!
