Unit Information:
Med Surg 3 (MS3) is a fast-paced 56 bed Adult Medical Surgical Telemetry unit at Southern Maine Health Care in Biddeford, Maine. The healthcare team provides care to adult complex patient populations from a wide variety of medical-surgical services including, but not limited to, Pulmonary, Renal, Infectious Disease, GI, Cardiac, Hematology/Oncology, and Orthopedics.
Summary:
The Certified Nursing Assistant
  • Acute Care role assists in the administration of nursing care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Performs a variety of direct and indirect care duties. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
Education:
High school diploma or GED preferred.
License/Certifications:
Current applicable state(s) license as a Certified Nursing Assistant required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
Experience:
Relevant experience preferred.
