Medical Front Office Team Lead
Job Description
Job Summary The Front Office Team Leader is experienced in the front office processes and functions under the direction of the Front Office Supervisor. This role is responsible for providing training to new and existing Patient Service Representatives within each medical department. The Front Office Team Leader will provide on going support as needed and serve as a positive role model to promote the professional image of the clinic.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Provides initial, ongoing, and follow-up training to Patient Service Representatives under the direction of the Front Office Supervisor. Provides ongoing coaching and support to Patient Service Representatives and identifies opportunities for additional training and development.
∙ Serves as a resource for Patient Service Representatives, assisting with questions, workflow issues, and front-office processes. Supports the rollout and implementation of new processes, procedures, and workflow changes for Patient Service Representatives at the direction of the Front Office Supervisor. Monitors Patient Service Representative training materials and updates them as needed to ensure accuracy.
∙ Monitors adherence to established front-office workflows and procedures and communicates opportunities for process improvement to the Front Office Supervisor. Performs Patient Service Representative duties when not actively engaged in training or Team Lead responsibilities.
∙ Monitors supply inventory across front-office areas and ensures supplies are adequately stocked as needed.
∙ Audits front-office cash boxes monthly and reports discrepancies in accordance with established procedures. Identifies and communicates performance or disciplinary concerns to the Front Office Supervisor for appropriate follow-up. Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work practices and instructions. Responsibilities Supervise front office staff, including medical receptionists and administrative assistants, to ensure efficient patient check-in/check-out procedures. Oversee appointment scheduling using EMR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks to optimize provider time and patient access. Manage patient records with accuracy, including documentation review, filing, and electronic health records (EHR) management. Coordinate medical billing processes, including medical collection efforts, insurance verification, and claims submission in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Ensure accurate CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, and documentation for billing purposes; review medical records for completeness and accuracy. Handle patient inquiries professionally via phone or in person while maintaining excellent phone etiquette and customer service standards. Monitor health insurance claims processing related to Medicare and other providers; resolve billing discrepancies efficiently. Maintain compliance with clinical confidentiality policies while managing sensitive patient information. Support the training and development of team members on office procedures, software applications like Microsoft Office, and health information management protocols. Assist in implementing process improvements to enhance clinic workflow and patient satisfaction.

Education/Training/Experience:
∙Minimum of High School diploma (or equivalent).
∙Experience in workplace training preferred.
∙Office and/or administrative experience required.
∙Experience using an electronic medical record required.

Pay:
From $21.54 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
