Full-Time Salaried Position Location:
Lansing, Brighton, Howell, and surrounding areas
Schedule:
Full-time, salaried, 40 hours per week
Availability:
Must be available every other weekend and able to travel throughout the Lansing and Brighton territories. FirstLight Home Care is seeking an experienced, dependable, and highly skilled CNA for a leadership position supporting our caregivers, clients, and office team. This is not primarily a caregiving position. Your responsibilities will include caregiver training, interviewing, supervisory visits, client meet-and-greets, administrative support, and assisting with on-call coverage. When caregiver call-offs or staffing emergencies occur, you must be willing to provide direct client care. Up to 20 hours of your 40-hour workweek may include caregiving when coverage is needed. Responsibilities Train, mentor, and evaluate new and existing caregivers. Assist with caregiver interviews and onboarding. Conduct caregiver skills training. Complete client and caregiver meet-and-greets. Perform caregiver supervisory visits. Coach caregivers and provide additional training when needed. Communicate professionally with clients, families, caregivers, and office staff. Assist with administrative and care coordination duties. Provide on-call support and help resolve staffing issues. Provide direct caregiving when call-offs or emergencies require coverage. Travel between Lansing and Brighton territories as needed. Experience Needed Minimum 2 years of hands-on caregiving experience. Current CNA certification. Experience in home care, senior care, assisted living, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or a similar setting. Experience with dementia and Alzheimer's care. Strong experience with transfers, gait belts, mobility assistance, and fall prevention. Experience safely using Hoyer lifts and other transfer equipment. Experience with bathing, dressing, toileting, personal care, and activities of daily living. Previous experience training, mentoring, supervising, or leading caregivers is strongly preferred. Leadership, care coordination, or supervisory experience is a plus. The Right Candidate We are looking for someone who is: Responsible, dependable, and professional. Willing to step in when clients or caregivers need assistance. Available every other weekend. Flexible with on-call and shift coverage responsibilities. Requirements Current CNA certification. Minimum 2 years of caregiving experience. Valid driver's license. Reliable transportation and current auto insurance. Successful background and drug screening. Negative TB screening as required.
