Summary:
Assist the Site Administrator with the day-to-day operations of the medical department, while still serving in the medical healthcare provider role.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage all inquiries with regards to information, referral, and/or possible admissionConduct pre-admission screenings of potential clients for detoxification servicesSchedule detoxification admissions/discharges to detoxification and residential programs, including completion of all required medical documentsReview all detoxification protocol applicationsVerification that medical charts have been closed properlyProvide coverage for call-off's and no-show'sConduct ADIA admissions/discharge for detoxification clientsCreate monthly medical staff scheduleSchedule monthly team meeting with the Physician's Assistant and/or Medical DirectorConduct staff training for new medical employees and notify current employees of any changes in day-to-day proceduresPrepare order and inventory of medical supplies with assistance of medical staffTake appropriate action as directed by Medical Director to ensure clients medical stability and in cases emergency facilitate assistance per Harbor Light protocolAssist Medical Director, Physician's Assistant, and/or designate in the provision of medical servicesEnsure all records, charts, logs and all other pertinent data for medical unit are maintained on a daily basisQualifications:
Must have and maintain a current valid Practical Nurse (PN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license.Experience in substance abuse preferred.
